Each smart bulb has a special sensor, and syska can give some additional info to the smart bulb.
Can I use syska smart bulb without WiFi?
Yes. You need an LED bulb which you can plug into the smart socket (a smart bulb can also be controlled via the wifi application, by using smart bulbs you will probably need to connect the bulb to the SyskaWiFi app).
If you have a smart bulb with wifi enabled (like TP-Link E26), you can use the app on your phone to control it directly. But if you are missing the feature of wifi connectivity, you will have to use the smart socket (and the app) to turn the bulb on/off. The smart bulb can be controlled with the app only. Bluetooth functionality does not have yet.
Can I use smart bulb with mobile hotspot?
Unfortunately, when comparing the bulbs in the app that come with the starter kit, we do not see any indicator for that. In terms of smart functionality in general, you cannot use any hotspot on the bulb. You can switch to a mobile hotspot if you want to but not just get a reminder for the upcoming bulb change.
Could I setup a smart bulb for my spouse and make it look like I bought one for him?
The answer is clearly no. You can use a smart bulb for yourself but not for others. This means that you can set up a smart bulb to look like you bought it for yourself but then when you are out of the house, go back and see that it has turned on and off. It would probably be best to buy a smart bulb for your spouse and keep him or her away from your smart hub.
